Greetings,

Thank you for your concern for Rev. Paul and all those involved in that ministry.  Let us continue to lift them up in our prayers to God Almighty.  Prayers of thanksgiving for all those who have contributed and are praying for the Haitians, prayers for protection in an unstable environment, prayers for wisdom and direction as decisions are made.  Thank you for joining us in prayer.

Rev. Paul is in Port-au-Prince delivering assistance to people who are in need as well as working with another orphanage from Ounaminthe (Danita's Children).  Rev. Paul is planning to be in Port-au-Prince until Wednesday bringing relief to orphans, family, and friends.  On Thursday, Clynie, Rev. Paul's wife, will travel to Port-au-Prince to bring other resources to some of her extended and others in need in or near Port au Prince.

"There is much fighting for food!" said Rev. Paul.  "The support agencies are having trouble getting the food to who should receive it--thieves are a big problem."

In response to this realization Rev. Paul said it is not safe to travel with a lot of supplies.  He has extra plastic bags of water to hand out, yet to have large amounts of supplies makes the vehicle a target for the vandals.  Therefore Rev. Paul and his ministry are traveling light to blend in with the crowd.  NELHM is providing funds for him through Fonkonze (similar to Western Union).

Rev. Paul has been encouraged to take care of the needs of his own facility.  The Montero Mitsubishi is being repaired and many other concerns of that "home base" are being solidified.  After talking with John Herbst (Chairman of NEHLM) I asked Rev. Paul of his willingness to come to visit some of our churches in April or May.  He was delighted--"I would be very willing to do that--however, my visa has expired. I need you to write to the Embassy to request the visa to be renewed."  This is being pursued.

The Lord be with you,

Rev. Sam Wiseman
